Course: IDTE 563 – Organizational Leadership for Instructional Design

AECT Standard 2 & 4

2. (Content Pedagogy): Indicator: Managing – Candidates manage appropriate technological processes and resources to provide supportive learning communities, create flexible and diverse learning environments, and develop and demonstrate appropriate content pedagogy.
4. (Professional Knowledge and Skills):
Indicator: Leadership – Candidates lead their peers in designing and implementing technology-supported learning.

This was a team project in my Organizational Leadership for Instructional Design class. Our task was to design a training team room.

We used Lucid Charts for the final design plan. As you view the plan, you can click on the icons for more information, product images, and full-sized versions of the budget and floor plan diagram.

As we worked on our project, we used several technology tools for virtual teams:

  1. Created a private SLACK channel for our project work
  2. Google Jamboard for product images and info
  3. Google Sheets for the project budget
  4. Lucid Charts for the Design Plan
  5. Concept Board for the floorplan

Each tool listed above has an integration with SLACK, so the SLACK channel was essentially our virtual team room for the project.

The concept for the Lucid Charts design was to use a Dashboard idea to convey the information in bite-sized chunks with icons/hotspots linking out to further documents and/or info. 

I really learned a lot from this assignment and thoroughly enjoyed working with Lori!!
