AECT Standard 1 (Content Knowledge): Candidates demonstrate the knowledge necessary to create, use, assess, and manage theoretical and practical applications of educational technologies and processes (AECT standards, 2012).

AECT Standard 1.4: Managing – Candidates demonstrate the ability to effectively manage people, processes, physical infrastructures, and financial resources to achieve predetermined goals. (p. 178)​

Tool: Articulate Rise 360

This Microlearning Lesson is designed using Articulate’s RISE 360. The purpose is to educate individuals about identity theft.

The objectives of the course are:

1. Define identity theft
2. Identify ways a thief can steal personal information
3. List strategies to protect personal information

The lesson guides the learner through the objectives using short videos, interactive elements, and short sections of text. The course will be helpful as an introduction to the topic or as a refresher course for more experienced learners. It could also be used as a part of an onboarding or employee training module.

The lesson also includes a selection of resources for the learner to explore additional information and current research on identity theft.
